In the charming setting of Chesapeake Bay, K-9 officer Trey Harrison finds himself sidelined by an injury and reluctantly volunteers in a small waterfront community to appease his boss. Meanwhile, schoolteacher Erica Rowe, dedicated to her work with at-risk teens, struggles with her own heartbreak after surgery has dashed her hopes of having children.
