The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, established in 1996, aims to connect book creators with avid readers and has grown to be the country's largest and most esteemed book festival, attracting over 130,000 participants annually. The event features notable contributors like Bernadette Murphy, a book critic and narrative nonfiction author, and Karen Joy Fowler, best known for "The Jane Austen Book Club." Additional prominent writers include Debra Ginsberg, recognized for her memoirs and novels, and Gigi Levangie Grazer, who has both written for film and authored popular novels. New voices like Nancy Spiller also make their mark with debut works at the festival.
