The Second Lie

In a seemingly peaceful town, psychologist Kelly Chapman is alarmed by her straight-A student, 14-year-old Maggie Winston, who has suddenly become infatuated with an older man known only as Mac. Deputy Samantha Jones shares Kelly's concerns, especially in the wake of recent tragedies, including a local businessman’s murder-suicide and troubling incidents of drug dealing and environmental hazards. As they dig deeper, Kelly and Sam begin to suspect a web of deception that ties these unsettling events together, challenging the belief that their community is free from big-city issues.
