The Lankāvatāra Sà «tra

The Lankavatara Sutra, a pivotal Mahayana Buddhist text from the early Common Era, features a profound dialogue between the cosmic Buddha and the Bodhisattva Mahamati. This work delves into the concept of ‘Emptiness’ (Sunyata), urging a letting go of concepts that perpetuate the illusion of self and other, which underlies human suffering. The Sutra emphasizes the illusory nature of the world and the need for enlightenment to transcend discriminating consciousness. This recording also includes the ‘Sagathakam,’ a later addition designed to aid in understanding and memorizing key sections of the Sutra.
