In "Meri Me," Meri Newberg, feeling the pressure of being single in her Christian friend group, decides to follow a 1950s magazine's tips for finding a husband after receiving it as a gift at a wedding. Her brother’s roommate, Kai Kamaka, seizes the chance to film her humorous attempts for an online show aimed at boosting his career. As Meri's antics go viral, sparking interest and laughter, Kai begins to realize he might not want her to find anyone but him, complicating their friendship and his own feelings.
