As they settle in for dinner, the lawyer Binod suggests they pass the time with a story, prompting Chatterjee moshai to recount tales inspired by the celebrated Bengali figure, Rajshekhar Basu, also known as Parashuram. Basu, a luminary of 20th-century Bengali literature, captivated audiences with his storytelling, notably receiving acclaim for his first book, Gaddalika, from none other than Rabindranath Tagore.
