Butcher’s Crossing

In the 1870s, inspired by Emerson's call for a deeper connection with nature, Will Andrews leaves Harvard and arrives in Butcher's Crossing, a small Kansas town filled with ambitious men. He befriends a local who entices him to join an expedition in search of vast buffalo herds hidden in the Rockies. The journey is challenging, but the beauty of the destination quickly leads to a reckless spree of slaughter, trapping the men in a brutal winter that profoundly alters their lives.
