In 1991, two scuba divers uncovered a sunken German U-boat with its crew off the New Jersey coast, leading them on a six-year quest to uncover its mysteries. Their journey transformed them into passionate researchers, as they learned German, sought clues in Germany, and developed new theories that challenged established history. Throughout their exploration, they faced danger and tragedy, losing three colleagues, including a father-and-son team. As they prepared for a final, perilous dive in 1997, their determination to resolve the U-boat's secrets reached a critical climax.
