The Deepest Waters

In 1857, John and Laura Foster's idyllic honeymoon aboard the SS Vandervere is shattered when a fierce hurricane strikes, causing the ship to sink. As chaos ensues, a rescue ship arrives but can only take women and children, leaving Laura to sail to New York City with a group of orphans and widows while she prepares to confront her uncertain future and meet John's family for the first time. Desperate and alone, she faces the daunting challenge of navigating life without her husband.
