In 1786 England, during the twelve days of Christmas, Mrs. Tiffany Lathrop balances her new role as a mother with her responsibilities as a librarian to Catharine, the Duchess of Beaufort. When Catharine receives a mysterious letter from the Marquess of Harwood, urging a reunion with his son before he dies, Tiffany accompanies them to a decaying abbey, where they unexpectedly find a dead valet and the marquess in a questionable state. Amidst the chaos of motherhood, Tiffany must unravel the secrets of Rosedean Abbey to uncover who is behind the valet's death and whether the marquess's life is truly in danger.
