Rosa Mandolini believes her family, the talented painters of magical illuminations, are the heart of their city. When the struggling Studio Mandolini faces uncertainty, Rosa uncovers a mysterious magical box guarded by a painted crow. In her attempt to help her family, she inadvertently releases the Scarling, a monstrous threat to their very existence. With the support of her former best friend and Payne the crow, Rosa must race against time to prevent destruction and safeguard her family's legacy.
