Brendan Waddell, healing from an injury, finds refuge at Bluebird Ranch, a sanctuary for abused children and horses run by an old Marine friend. Meanwhile, Lauren Everman seeks shelter from her past as a witness to a murder, using her skills with horses to blend in.
