In this sharp political satire, Robert Hardy portrays Lord Malan, the billionaire owner of The Blue Touch Paper, a struggling right-wing magazine facing declining sales and readership. When Anna, a determined political commentator, loses the editor position to the unconventional Keith, nicknamed 'Toynbee', tensions escalate as she and her allies scheme to thwart his efforts to revive the publication. With the support of his quirky team, including PA Katrina and gossip columnist Giles, Keith navigates political minefields in a bid to save his career and the magazine itself. This witty sitcom, created by Mark Tavener and Steve Punt, was first broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in July 2007.
