After the death of renowned conservationist Rupert Lavery, his son Kit returns from a decade in Australia to inherit a challenging nature reserve in the British countryside. There, he encounters two passionate staff members: Elizabeth Punch, a determined wildlife advocate, and Jess Wetherby, an aspiring hunt saboteur with a bold persona. Amidst this chaos, Kit also meets Jinty O'Hare, the enchanting niece of the local Master of Foxhounds, which opens his eyes to the unexpected charm of the Devonshire coast.
