Rookie Cop Dave Stewart believes he can convict William Bailey of murder by altering a single line in his statement. However, his relationship with Detective Sergeant Anne Wallace puts him at odds with Detective Chief Superintendent John McCauley, who secretly gathers dirt on his enemies. As Stewart devises a plan to erase the evidence against himself, he uncovers a horrific paedophile ring within McCauley's files. With three bodies piling up, Stewart finds himself the prime suspect in a sinister conspiracy.
