The Brass Bottle

The Brass Bottle follows architect Horace Ventimore, who buys an antique brass bottle to give to a professor of Mideast antiquities. His curiosity leads him to remove the stopper, unleashing a genie named Fakrash el-Aamash, who aims to repay Horace for his release from a long imprisonment. This whimsical tale unfolds with a series of comical escapades, highlighting the unexpected consequences of curiosity. Originally penned by F. Anstey, the story later inspired a movie adaptation featuring Barbara Eden, just before her iconic role in I Dream of Jeannie.
