Jamaica Road

Set in South London during the 1980s, Jamaica Road follows Daphne, the only Black girl in her class, whose desire for invisibility is challenged when she befriends the charismatic Connie Small, a recent Jamaican arrival. As their friendship evolves amidst the complexities of their families and societal pressures, Daphne finds herself entwined in Connie's precarious life.
