The Midwich Cuckoos

While returning from a weekend in London, Richard and Janet Gayford discover the village of Midwich mysteriously sealed off due to ‘army manoeuvres.’ When the barrier lifts, the villagers awaken without any apparent harm, but months later, an unexpected epidemic of pregnancies occurs among the women. All the babies, born on the same day, share striking golden eyes and exhibit the ability to communicate telepathically. As they mature, their growing powers raise concerns among the residents of Midwich.
