Declaration of Independence

Thirteen British-American colonies, resentful of governmental abuses, proclaimed their right to independence, encapsulated in the Declaration of Independence. This pivotal document asserts the people's obligation to abolish abuses of power, emphasizes the necessity for lawful migration and naturalization, and upholds the primacy of local civil authority over military intervention. It also firmly defends the principle that civilians should only be tried within their regional court systems, regardless of the accusations against them.
