The Devil in the Marshalsea

In 1727, Tom Hawkins rejects the notion of becoming a country parson, favoring a life filled with wine, women, and cards instead. However, his debauched lifestyle lands him in London's notorious Marshalsea Gaol, where he's quickly confronted by the grim reality of debtors' prison, including a haunting ghost and a lurking murderer. To survive, Tom accepts a dubious offer for shelter from the enigmatic Samuel Fleet, only to discover a deadly history tied to his new roommate.
