Paradise Lost & Paradise Regained

"Paradise Lost" and its companion "Paradise Regained" represent John Milton's remarkable achievements in English epic poetry, created towards the end of his life while he was completely blind. "Paradise Lost" narrates the tale of Satan's rebellion against God and the subsequent fall of Adam and Eve, unfolding in three distinct sections: the regrouping of Satan's forces, the introduction of humanity, and the consequences of their disobedience. In contrast, "Paradise Regained" recounts the temptation of Jesus, portraying Satan's unsuccessful attempts to mislead the Son of God.
