The Second Stranger

On a frigid February night at the isolated MacKinnon Hotel, Remie Yorke is set to leave Scotland for good when a severe snowstorm seals her and her remaining guests inside. As the storm worsens, she encounters an injured police constable, Don Gaines, who claims to have survived a car accident—along with a dangerous prisoner on the loose. Just as tension rises, a second man arrives, also calling himself Constable Don Gaines, complicating Remie’s desperate struggle to determine whom to trust in a high-stakes game of survival. As the night unfolds, she must navigate the threats posed by the bitter cold and the mysterious intentions of both men before dawn breaks.
