Long Flight Home

In the aftermath of the First World War, air mechanic Wally Shiers faces a dilemma as he chooses to join the charismatic fighter pilot Ross Smith in an audacious air race from England to Australia, instead of returning to his fiancée, Helena Alford. With a £10,000 prize at stake, the duo sets off in the precarious open-cockpit Vickers Vimy, leaving Helena anxiously awaiting Wally's return with her wedding dress in hand.
