The Engines of God

In a far-future 23rd century, humanity grapples with a deteriorating Earth as teams of linguists, historians, engineers, and archaeologists investigate the remnants of an enigmatic race known as the Monument-Makers. These unknown beings left behind awe-inspiring statues and mysterious inscriptions across distant planets, but time is running out as colonizers aim to terraform these worlds for human habitation. Interstellar archaeologist Richard Wald and starship pilot Priscilla Hutchins believe that unlocking the secrets of these monuments could be crucial to the survival of humanity.
