Sweet Danger

Set against the backdrop of the Crusades, the tiny Balkan state of Averna has long been forgotten until its strategic significance prompts the British government to hire detective Albert Campion to recover lost proofs of ownership hidden in the village of Pontisbright. Upon arrival, Campion encounters the quirky Amanda Fitton and her family, who claim rightful heirship, as well as the sinister criminal financier Brett Savanake, who has his own motives for locating the valuable documents.
