Murland Kadabra, a 19-year-old wizarding apprentice unable to cast a single spell, finds his dreary life as a groundskeeper transformed when he is chosen by the Most High Wizard Kazimir to be one of the five Champions of the Dragon. Accompanied by a quirky band of companions—a knight battling alcoholism, a gay elf prince, a humanistic dwarf, and an overweight ogre—Murland embarks on a journey to confront the legendary dragon Drak'Noir, only to uncover that their true fate might be quite different from what prophecy foretells. "Champions of the Dragon," the first book in the Epic Fallacy series by USA Today best-selling author Michael James Ploof, offers a humorous and satirical take on the fantasy genre.
