As Halloween approaches, Sadie Hoffmiller, a passionate cook and amateur detective, is excited to enjoy the season in Boston, baking alongside her partner, Pete Cunningham, while babysitting his grandsons. When the boys claim their neighbor, Mrs. Wapple, is a witch, Sadie attempts to prove them wrong but soon finds herself drawn into a web of strange occurrences and unanswered questions.
