Sugar and Spite

In "Casa del Chocolate," Lee, a pregnant journalist, is excited to profile the charming candy shop owned by Shirley Parker, who is continuing her family's legacy of making magical treats. However, the joy of her assignment quickly turns dark when Lee discovers the body of Shirley's estranged husband, Barney Bingham, leading the police to suspect Shirley. As Lee teams up with her detective husband Pete, a tarot reader, and a clairvoyant cat, she must navigate a web of motives to uncover the true killer while grappling with the unexpected return of her haunting visions.
