In a world where the power grid is collapsing and a billion-dollar ransom has been demanded, Joe Mayfield is set for a weekend with his hacker girlfriend, Weezy Napolitani, until their plans are shattered. As they rally with the government to tackle the crisis, Weezy's friend, a skilled hacker named Kalju, is kidnapped by a trio of Russian oligarchs intent on seizing control of the U.S. grid. When Weezy herself is taken, suspicion falls on her, while Joe's desperate quest to rescue her turns him into a prisoner as well. With time running out, they must outsmart the Sobaki to prevent a catastrophic blackout and save their lives.
