The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, established in 1996, aims to connect book creators with avid readers, drawing over 130,000 attendees each year to become the largest book festival in the U.S. Notable contributors include Erin Aubrey Kaplan, a journalist with a new essay collection titled "Views and Blues from the Edge," Jennifer Baszile, a pioneering Yale professor whose memoir is "The Black Girl Next Door," Lise Funderburg, who explores familial ties in her narrative nonfiction "Pig Candy," and Danzy Senna, celebrated for her novel "Caucasia" and her latest work "Where Did You Sleep Last Night?"
