The Book of Enoch

The Book of Enoch is an ancient Jewish apocalyptic text, dating back to 300-200 BC, attributed to Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah. It explores themes such as the origins of demons and giants, the fall of certain angels, and the necessity of the Great Flood, while also offering prophetic insights into the Messiah's thousand-year reign. Although not included in the biblical canon for most Jewish and Christian traditions, it holds historical and theological significance, particularly within the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, which regards it as part of its Old Testament scriptures. This edition is translated from the Ethiopian Ge'ez language, where the work is fully preserved.
