Mischief and Monsters

Twelve-year-old Jordi Acosta longs for invisibility but finds himself thrust into adventure when he volunteers at the Yaupon Creek Wildlife Refuge during spring break. His wildlife biologist mother reveals her secret work caring for Cryptids—mythical creatures thought to be fiction. When a corporation threatens the refuge and manipulates the community into blaming the Cryptids for local damage, Jordi and his friends must act to protect their town and clear the creatures' names.
