The Stone Wife

At an auction in Bath, England, a carved stone featuring a female figure linked to Chaucer's Canterbury Tales becomes the focal point of a violent heist when masked raiders attempt to steal it, resulting in the murder of a prominent bidder. Detective Peter Diamond and his team are tasked with unraveling the mystery of the stone, which appears to bring bad luck, as he delves into its history. Meanwhile, his colleague Ingeborg goes undercover to track the weapon used in the crime, leading the investigation into unexpected territories.
