Born in 1921 in Alabama, Charles Woods faced early hardship when he and his brothers were placed in an orphanage. Adopted at six, he later served in WWII as a U.S. Army Airforce captain, where a catastrophic plane crash left him the sole survivor, resulting in extensive injuries. After years of recovery and numerous surgeries, Woods defied the odds by building a $10 million business empire, encompassing various industries. He passed away in 2004 and was honored with a burial at Arlington National Cemetery, celebrated for his remarkable resilience and achievements.
