The Runner and the Wizard

Young Ivor aspires to be a swordsman like his nine older brothers but, until he grows a beard, he's relegated to being a runner for their lord, Thane Carrak. When tasked with a long journey to find the enigmatic Rorie of Ytter—rumored to be a wizard, outlaw, or saint—Ivor inadvertently becomes embroiled in a dangerous magical intrigue that could endanger not only Carrak but also his own life.
