The Atonement

In "The Wish," Lucy Flaud, now 25 and resigned to a future without marriage, dedicates her life to volunteering in her Amish community while grappling with the shadows of her past. Meanwhile, Dale Wyeth, an Englisher skeptical of modern conveniences, finds common ground with Lucy's father, Christian, leading to a budding friendship at the family farm. As their lives intertwine, Lucy begins to question the implications of Dale's presence and whether they could both find a chance at redemption and new beginnings amidst their differences.
