The Prefect

In "The Prefect," law enforcement officer Tom Dreyfus patrols the diverse society of the Glitter Band, a collection of space habitats surrounding the planet Yellowstone. Tasked with investigating a horrific attack that claims 900 lives, Dreyfus soon uncovers a deeper threat—a covert scheme by a mysterious entity aiming for total dominion over the Glitter Band. As he and the Panoply detectives delve further, they find themselves in a perilous battle against a force that could bring even greater devastation, forcing Dreyfus to confront the harsh reality that preserving what he values may require its destruction.
