A Missed Murder

In 1555 London, as Queen Mary navigates her contentious marriage to Philip II of Spain amidst a divided kingdom, former cutpurse turned assassin Jack Blackjack faces his own turmoil. Tasked with assassinating a target, he unexpectedly chooses to save the man instead, which puts him at odds with his spymaster.
