The Story of Ju-Won

Tricked by the allure of a scholarship, Ju-Won leaves South Korea for Portland, Oregon, only to find herself trapped in an exploitative world as a masseuse and sex worker at an illegal massage parlor. As she navigates complex relationships with a corrupt policeman and a wealthy real estate broker, Ju-Won grapples with her desires and the question of freedom. When a psychiatrist offers her a chance at a conventional life, she must confront what truly makes her happy and whether she can carve out her own path.
