A Manuscript of Ashes

Set in the late 1960s during the final years of Franco's dictatorship, this audiobook follows university student Minaya, who, fleeing from police amid student protests in Madrid, retreats to his uncle Manuel's country estate. There, he delves into the life of Manuel's old friend, the obscure republican poet Jacinto Solana, discovering their shared past with Mariana, a woman whose tragic fate intertwines their lives. As Minaya uncovers remnants of Solana's lost novel, Beatus Ille, he inadvertently unravels a crime steeped in history.
