In 1879, Steve Dancy leaves his New York shop to venture westward, aiming to document his adventures. However, his infatuation with a married woman sparks a deadly feud with Sean Washburn, a powerful Nevada silver baron. After a violent confrontation with hired thugs, Dancy unwittingly involves himself in a lethal struggle that draws in various power players in Nevada.
