In the aftermath of WWII, a grieving fisherman named Robert Bliss pens a touching poem that unexpectedly resonates with a nation, prompting an influx of rocks to his coastal Maine town. Years later, his great-niece Annie returns to Ansel-by-the-Sea to assist Robert, only to discover a hidden stack of boxes and a connection to ruins on a nearby island that stirs her anthropological curiosity.
