Embers in the London Sky

In 1940, as the German army invades the Netherlands, Aleida van der Zee Martens flees to London, separated from her young son, Theo. While she works for an agency evacuating children, BBC correspondent Hugh Collingwood reports on the London Blitz, grappling with the tension between truth and censorship. As a wave of murders grips the city, Aleida enlists Hugh's help to find her son, leading to a deepening connection between them amid the chaos. With danger looming from both bombs and brutal killings, time is quickly running out for them both.
