The Sittin' Up

In the summer of 1940, the community of Low Meadows mourns the passing of Mr. Bro. Wiley, Bean's adopted grandfather and the last surviving man from the era of slavery. As Bean and his best friend Pole navigate their grief, they are also filled with anticipation for their first Sittin’ Up, a heartfelt wake tradition. The week promises to be unforgettable, especially with a brewing storm threatening to flood the Low Meadows during this significant time.
