No Man's Land

In this compelling audiobook, former US Navy Top Gun Kevin Sullivan recounts the harrowing incident of QF72, where a rogue computer caused the Airbus A330 he was piloting to uncontrollably pitch down towards the Indian Ocean. With 315 passengers and crew aboard, Sullivan's expert maneuvers were crucial in regaining control and executing a high-stakes emergency landing, which resulted in over 100 injured individuals being airlifted to hospitals. As automation continues to shape aviation, this gripping narrative prompts critical reflection on the balance between human oversight and technological reliance.
