In Tidal Effects, set in an alternate 1923 after the Great European War, Germany stands as a dominant global power, while the United States and Britain remain uninvolved. The narrative unfolds through two critical scenarios: US Intelligence suspects that Germany is building a naval base in Martinique, threatening American coastal security, and Emperor Charles I of Austria grapples with internal unrest and German influence.
