Deep beneath the ocean's surface, a mysterious artifact is discovered during the Navy's recovery of a wrecked submarine, sparking a scientific race to uncover its origins. This unyielding object, impervious to drilling and communication attempts, leads the government to enlist marine biologist Russell Sutton for assistance. Meanwhile, two ancient creatures, each with a connection to the artifact, navigate their own existence on Earth: one transforms to adapt, while the other destroys threats. As the artifact emerges, it beckons both beings toward a profound encounter that challenges their very existence.
