When a rancher uncovers ten mutilated bodies at an archaeological dig on the Navajo Reservation, both Captain Begay of the Navajo Tribal Police and FBI Special Agent Palmer get drawn into the investigation. As the case deepens, they track renewed horrors to a burning cabin in Colorado, where five more bodies are found. In a race against time, Cole and Stella, along with David—who Stella believes is a natural-born shaman—must seek out the elusive Joe Blackhorn for guidance, all while evading the relentless pursuit of Agent Palmer and Captain Begay. The trio must uncover ancient secrets before the threat of the Ancient Enemy becomes fatal.
