Carlos Portillo, a privileged dual citizen of Mexico and the United States, has always followed the expectations set by his wealthy family. However, after the tragic death of his adventurous older brother, Felix, Carlos begins to hear his brother's voice encouraging him to break free from his predetermined path. He flees to the United States, where he lands a job with his culinary idol and finds himself falling for his boss's daughter.
