The Iliad

The Iliad, often regarded as one of the greatest poems in the Western canon, narrates the pivotal events of the final 50 days of the Trojan War. Central to the story are the tensions between Achilles and Agamemnon, as Achilles withdraws from battle, allowing Hector and the Trojans to gain ground. Ultimately, the tale is one of fate and the profound consequences of pride and honor.
